MOSES AND THE ROD

GOD: What is in your hand?

MOSES: A rod

GOD: Ah! Just a rod?

MOSES: It is what it is?

GOD: Cast, it on the ground

MOSES: Ah!! I didn't bargain for this. (He flee from it)

GOD: Return, and pick it up again.

Courageously, he held his hand out and picked up the serpent-turned rod.

Moses had experienced the different dimensions of God right from his experience in the burning bush but he still doubted the call of God upon his life and the assignment God had assigned him.

Moses looked for every possible way to restrain from answering the call of God upon his life. Your excuses are as valid in your life as you want them to be. If you believe you can you will but if you believe you can't you won't.

This got God angry at him, as a child I felt pained over why God had refused him from entering the promised land after all his toil and suffering from Egypt. I felt God was wicked and mean towards him after all his plea to him...Father, I'm sorry 💔

God sees more than we do and understands more than we do. The Scripture has rightly put it that, His ways are not ours neither are His thoughts the same as ours. He knows our end from our beginning. It was only Gid that truly knew Moses, (Watch out to read the article on The error of Moses: Life Lessons for today's leaders).

Although Moses had an open conversation with God, he still didn't truly have an understanding of the dimensions of the workings of God. His continuous presence perhaps would have brought about grave consequences that would have affected us today more than the damage caused by Adam and Eve in the garden. The need for God to take him despite his plea.

How many of us are acting like Moses today?

You may feel that you're not dead like Moses, you still have breathed. Perhaps you're living in your dream house or your dream job. Let's be realistic here:  Are you sure that you're alive? Looking around you are you feeling life? How are things around your life are they working as they should? Are you still receiving insight and inspiration like you used to? What is your latest testimony of how God had used you, still sharing testimonies of past victories? Can't you see that you've ceased to live already?

How strong is your conviction towards the assignment that God has placed in your hand?

What are you doing to live up to His plan and purpose for your life?

Are you still casting fleece before him like Gideon? If you truly are, cause this to...

You know you can't order God around...

He'll not always work in ways that you want Him to nor use the people you're thinking are well-positioned to give you what you expect.

The greatest frustration you'll experience as a human is trying to enclave God in a box and want him to work in your preconception.

Like, Moses rod, what you have is enough for you to start. Step out and fulfill the purpose.

Will you like Abraham and Mary to follow his leading without asking why?

I hope this has blessed your heart as much as it did to me when the Lord placed the message in my heart.
